How to Measure Your Voice Frequency Accurately

A consistent room, microphone position and speaking task matter more than chasing one perfect number.

Set up the room

Choose a quiet room without music, fans or strong echoes. Keep the microphone 15–25 cm from your mouth and avoid touching the device during the test.

Use natural continuous speech

Read a normal paragraph for ten seconds. Do not sustain one vowel or deliberately lower your voice. Conversational speech is the correct input for a speaking-frequency result.

  • Warm up by speaking for a few minutes
  • Use the same passage for comparisons
  • Keep volume and posture comfortable
  • Repeat three times and compare medians

Judge result quality

A narrow distribution and higher stability score suggest a cleaner sample. Large jumps may indicate background sound, vocal fry, silence or pitch-tracking errors.
